Twitter to Charge

Twitter has found a new way to make money from its users, and the opinions are mixed. No matter what the opinion, there is no doubt that the new method is unique.

Twitter will soon begin to charge $5 a month for its customers to use the full version of its service.

Of course, if you do not want to pay for Twitter, you do not have to. You can continue to use Twitter. There will be limitations to your usage, though.

If you choose to use Twitter for free, you will not be allowed to use vowels. Only consonants will be available for use in Tweets and comments.

The letter "Y" will be available for use at any time free of charge, and when typing a web address, vowels are allowed at no charge as well.

This will look quite interesting, but it can be done, as has been proven already. Regular Twitter users may find it beneficial to simply pay the small fee that Twitter will be charging for its services.

According to a post on techcrunch.com, Twitter is doing this for two reasons. They believe the elimination of vowels will encourage people to use a more unique, digital form of communication. The other reason Twitter cites for this is that it is a potential form of revenue for Twitter.

This is not the only idea that has been tossed around, but it is definitely a striking one that will gain some significant attention.

Which side will you be on? Vowels or none?
