Iowa City Man Gets Harassment Charges from the Blizzard

Yesterday in the Midwest was a difficult day for all, but more difficult for some than others. One Iowa City man faces more unusual problems as a result of the snow storms that happened all throughout the region.

41-year-old Thomas Randall of Iowa City faces a single charge of harassment as a result of a snow plowing incident yesterday in Iowa City that led to authorities being contacted for help.

According to an article on kcrg.com, Randall plowed snow in an alley, creating mounds of snow that blocked residents on the corner of Kirkwood Avenue and Summit Street in Iowa City. The residents were unable to leave their home.

The residents that were blocked into their homes were neighbors of Randall, and they confronted him about the snow, upset at what he had done. The neighbors eventually contacted the police for assistance with the situation.

The police responded to the scene when contacted. The report stated that Randall cooperated with police and said that he would remove the snow, allowing his neighbors to be able to get out.

Unfortunately, after that, the report stated that Randall then began to yell profanities at the neighbors as he walked down the alley, telling them that they would be plowed in.

The neighbor that called the police is allegedly afraid of Randall and has had a bad history with him, reportedly calling authorities for assistance several times in relation to actions that Randall has taken.

Randall does not have a criminal history, though.
