Going Job Hunting

Finding a good job is often an important part of making the transition to University life. Everyone needs money for going out to eat, paying for gas, school supplies, the occasional social event, and all the other fun things that coincide with college life.

There are a large number of resources available to University of Iowa students. First, be sure to checkout the University's JobNet. Getting a work study number from the Financial Aid office will further increase the number of jobs you see by about 15%. Then take advantage of all the other online resources available, such as CareerBuilder, the press-citizen website, among others. Lastly, be sure to contact the Pomerantz career center, and see if they can help you.
